The Problem:

Shoppers at retail stores and wholesale clubs are frustrated by standing in long lines. Many stores have become dependent upon self-checkout and push their customers to use self-checkout to help them maintain a low margin and stay competitive. Many shoppers who use self-checkout are slow and inefficient and actually magnify the problem.

The Solution:

QThru enables shoppers to use their Smartphone to scan products as they shop and then efficiently checkout using a mobile checkout kiosk. A mobile checkout kiosk could be a traditional self-checkout station, a portable tablet, a credit card payment station, or a QThru provided all-in-one kiosk with embedded scanner, card reader, and printer. The product is a scalable self-provisioned open shopping and checkout platform. Any retailer with minimal technical skill can set up QThru by creating an account online, answering simple questions, uploading graphical assets, and then installing the Q-Checkout and Q-Sync Service. Once a retailer’s products have been synchronized with the QThru cloud, customers download the QThru smartphone app and immediately begin to shop in the store. When shoppers are ready to checkout they click a “Checkout” button in the mobile app. To complete the checkout process the end user must enter a previously stored passcode and then scan the Q-Code (QR Code) on a Self-Checkout Kiosk to complete the transaction. Interaction with our kiosk is "touchless” and fast!
